The popular Prestwich Clough Day returns on Sunday 17 May 2015.

This is a free day out for all the family celebrating the Prestwich Clough area of parkland, established by Prestwich Urban District Council in 1906.

The Clough Day is 12noon – 5.00pm on Prestwich Flower Park (Bury New Road) and at the Church Inn (Church Lane).

This is the 10th Prestwich Clough Day, which is a great achievement. Clough Day Chair David Stanley said:

“Little did we think when we held the first one in 2006 that would achieve such a milestone. For this we have to thank all of our Sponsors over the years for their support without them it would not have been possible, The Committee for all their support and hard work in planning what has become much loved Community Event and everyone who has participated over the years.

Over the past ten years we have seen the launch at the Clough Day of Incredible Edibles (Prestwich), The Village Community Co-Op, Prestbake and many other Local Groups and Community Organisations whilst many local Groups, organisations and Charities have benefitted from joining in the Event.

We hope that you enjoy this years event and remember that it is organised by Volunteers, with no support from Council Officers, and all of our funding has to be raised either on the day or through Sponsorship and Concessions.

Many thanks for your support over the Ten years.”

If you are involved in a business or group who are able to sponsor the Clough Day please do get in touch with the team – packages start from £100. More information here.

The team are also looking for more volunteers – more information here.
