Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) and NHS Greater Manchester have outlined their ambition to reduce the number of smokers in our city by a third in 2019. They are looking to provide additional stop smoking support, potentially create more smoke free spaces, crack down on illegal tobacco, license tobacco retailers; there is even talk of a potential levy on tobacco companies and more.
They are asking the communities of Bury what they think about this, what might be important to them and if/how they think this ambition should be approached in their area.
“We need to hear from as many people as possible and get to know what they think, by completing the History Makers Survey https://historymakersgm.co.uk/take-the-survey.html
We hope you would be willing to make sure that your voice is heard – whatever your view. Would you please be willing to complete and share our survey link with colleagues and wider community so they know that their opinions matter.

We hope that you are willing to spread the work and to work with us. Please do let us know of anyone else in your community you think might be worth contacting also.
Thank you for your support!”
