Parklife 2018 – Request for Residents Feedback

Last weekend was the Parklife Weekend in Heaton Park. We’re keen to hear from residents on any issues or comments, good or bad, that can help shape the event in the future.
As your councillors we will be involved in the event debrief and this is a good time get any changes made for next year.
We’ve done a short online survey for resident feedback here.
I thought this year’s festival was well managed. I didn’t see too many people hanging around and the traffic wasn’t too bad for me when I did go out. I think the good weather helped as I think people went to the festival earlier rather than hang around in Prestwich
Generally improved over the years, but the organisers seem a bit slow to remove barriers and return park and surrounding areas to normal use. Also a lot of unsolicited/ unlicensed taxis waiting for collecting young people from Scholes Lane area. A lot of the kids look a bit vulnerable by the end of the night too. Needs policing to ensure their safety imo.
