Highways England is to begin work to improve the bridge on the A56 Bury New Road roundabout above junction 17 of the M60. This will involve upgrading the four existing bridge barriers by increasing their height to 1.8m plus ‘anti-access’ measures to prevent unauthorised pedestrian access onto the bridge

Work is due to start on or shortly after 22 June for approximately 20 weeks with enabling works commencing 11 June 2018. A lane closure will be in place on the roundabout and a second lane while the works are happening. Works will take place
· Monday to Thursday: 8pm to 5am
· Friday and Saturday: 8pm to 6am

Residents who live nearby have had an additional letter sent to them.
