Volunteers are needed to lead scenic walks across the Bury area which will help to keep local residents fit and well.

A range of Walking for Health walks is planned for autumn, and the “Bury Walk with Me” team is looking for new recruits to complement their existing walk leaders.

Hundreds of Bury people have benefitted from scores of walks organised across the borough in recent years, which have taken in Summerseat, the Kirklees Trail, Heaton Park, Birtle, Prestwich Clough, Ainsworth, Elton, Radcliffe and more.

A volunteer walk leader training session has been organised for Monday 24 September.
