The latest exhibition oat the ‘Studio Church’ (Bailey Street/Heaton Street junction) is “Textiles by Ella – A Retrospective by Eleanor Poston”. This runs from: 26 November – 16 December 2016. Admission is free.

Eleanor is a Prestwich textile artist and embroiderer, creating a range of work including pictures, panels, and wall hangings. She works with anything that can be embellished with fabric, thread, paint, dyes, found objects and that fires her imagination.

Her sources of inspiration are wide-ranging and include myth and legend, folk lore, space, Native American Indian, Celtic and many others. She very much enjoys researching themes for her work.
