Share your experiences in GP Patient Survey

by stevewright on 8 January, 2019

Patients from Bury will be invited to share their experiences of GP services in a national survey being sent out in January.

A random sample of patients from each GP practice in England will have the opportunity to share their views and experiences in the national confidential GP Patient Survey run by Ipsos MORI on behalf of NHS England.

The survey covers all aspect of patient experience including amongst other things, making appointments, the quality of care received from GPs and practice nurses, satisfaction with opening hours and out of hours NHS services.

The survey is an opportunity for patients to have their say about how well they feel their practice is doing at providing services to its patients. The findings provide important insight into patients’ experiences and helps practices to understand where they can improve. The information is also important to organisations that make decisions about local health services; and for patients, the findings can help them make choices about which services they use.

Dr. Jeff Schryer, Chair of NHS Bury Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG) and local GP said: “It’s really encouraging that the majority of people are generally positive about their GP care. The GP Patient Survey has been designed to give patients the opportunity to feed back about their experiences and gives us valuable information about how people feel and where improvements can be made. If you receive a copy of the survey, please do complete it so that your valuable feedback can be captured and help improve services in the future.”
